The Caldwell City Council is scheduled on Tuesday, Sept. 15, to hold public hearings and to vote on its proposed 42.9930-cent property tax rate and a $20,354,236 budget for fiscal year 2026-27.
The proposed tax rate is higher than the No New Revenue tax rate of 40.2210 per $100 valuation, the rate needed to generate the same amount of revenue as the previous year.
