A celebration of life for Garry Wayne Roberson, 68, of Houston, will be held at noon on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at Smith Chapel AME Church, 291 Avenue F, in Somerville.
Burial will follow at Lyons Community Cemetery, State Route 36, in Lyons.
Visitation will be held one hour before service.
Garry Wayne Roberson was born Feb. 18, 1958, to James and Artis Mildred Roberson in Lyons.
He attended Somerville schools and went on to work doing construction, carpentry and other jobs that kept him busy, until his health began to fail.
He died on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
He is survived by three sisters.
