Woman escapes from burning car on F.M. 60

Awoman escaped from a car fire on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 30, on F.M. 60 near Snook after her brakes malfunctioned.

The woman, Ruby Richardson, saw smoke coming from the car and tried unsuccessfully to stop, according to a Rusty Surette Facebook post.

She then steered the car into a nearby field and got out as flames consumed and it still moved forward.

She suffered only minor injuries.
