A Mass of Christian burial for Francisco Vittonel, 70, of Somerville, was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Somerville.

He was born on Oct. 4, 1953, to Jose and Ninfa Vittonel.

Francisco Vittonel, affectionately known as Frank, was a God-fearing man who loved his family and gave all he had to make sure they were taken care of.

He attended Snook school and went on to work for Santa Fe Railroad for 45 years.

Frank married the love of his life, Ermalinda, and enjoyed 47 years of love.

He was devoted to his church and would maintain the grounds and help to usher at St. Ann’s.

Frank was also a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.

When he wasn’t spending time with his family he could usually be found with his other love -- horses.

He died on Feb. 5, 2024. Francisco is survived by one daughter; one son; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother; and two sisters.
