Frankie Delbert Surovik, III

Frankie Delbert Surovik, III passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the age of 90. He passed at his home surrounded by family.

Frankie was born in Burleson County, Texas, to Frank Surovik Jr. and Albina Matcek.

Frankie married Billie Schoenberg, February 13, 1954, in Burleson County.

After marriage Frankie obtained his GED and TCEQ Water License.

The couple moved to College Station where Frankie worked at City of College Station, at the Waste Water Treatment Plant. After living in College Station for 24 years they moved back to Burleson County.

Frankie retired after 36.5 years of service at City of College Station.

After retiring from City of College Station, he opened up Franks Service and Repair in Lyons where he ran a successful business working on lawn mowers.

In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, along with working in his garden, fishing and hunting.

Frankie was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Albina Surovik; wife, Billie Surovik; sisters, Agnes DeHart, Adelle Houston, and Annie Daniels; brothers, Ted Surovik and Ed Surovik.

He is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Esparza and husband, David; son Frank “Butch” Surovik, IV and wife, Joni; grandchildren, Navor Casares and wife, Crystal, Stephanie Ashlock and husband, Brandon, Brittany Surovik, Jordan Fields and wife, Kaleigh, Bryanna Surovik and Canyon Surovik; great-grandchildren, Isai, Selena and Mattis Casares, Shawn, Rileigh and Patrick Ashlock, Ellie Surovik, Rhylan Griffin and Brendalyn Surovik-Price; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on November 20, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville.

Funeral services were held on November 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville.

Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Navor Casares, Brandon Ashlock, Jordan Fields, Canyon Surovik, Julian Frayre and Brandon Price.

Memorials may be made to Remarkable Hospice or North Shore Baptist Church.
