Jo Lynn Turner, lovingly known as “Gram,” departed for Heaven on Thursday, February 8, 2024.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the chapel at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell, Texas.

Funeral services honoring her life will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow at Old Independence Cemetery.

Jo Lynn was born on October 22, 1947, to Olive and Mable (Coleman) Pennington.

Jo Lynn is survived by one brother, Larry Pennington; her three children, Kimberly Morrison, Tim Morrison, and Patrick “Packy” (Maren) Morrison.

She was a cherished grandmother to Amanda, Kamryn, Jodi, Logan, Kale and Kash. She was also survived numerous nieces and nephews.

Jo Lynn worked for Halliburton Services as a Lead Dispatch Supervisor for over 28 years.

After retiring from Halliburton in 2009, she spent the majority of her retirement visiting her grandchildren, attending her grandsons’ baseball games, as well as attending her granddaughters’ music recitals and kickball tournaments.

She loved to play cards, dominoes, and all things Elvis.

Jo Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Olive Preston and Mable Pennington; sisters, Margie Clayton, Louise Cozzy, Ruth Cozzy, Emma Jean Franks, and Francis Wessinger; brothers, O.P. Pennington Jr., William “Dee” Pennington, James Pennington, Johnny Pennington, Thomas “Mac” Pennington and Zach “Jack” Pennington.

Rest in Peace Mamma! Your warm heart, infectious smile, abundant love and gracious hugs were sprinkled with determination, encouragement, persistence and dedication to Family and Friends leaving us with beautiful memories and an abounding legacy.
