Funeral services for Kenneth Newton Belote, 88, of Caldwell, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Feb. 29, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell.

Kenneth was born on June 9, 1935, in Lufkin, Texas, to Jacob Newton Belote and Arrabelle Webb Belote.

Kenneth graduated from Galena Park High School.

He served for two years in the U.S. Army.

After his return, he continued his employment at ARMCO Steel in Houston, where he retired after 30 years.

On Sept. 14, 1962, Kenneth married Gwendolyn “Gwen” Skipper.

They enjoyed traveling together and spending time with family.

Kenneth was a dedicated family man and “Paw Paw” to his grandchildren. Kenneth was very artistically talented and took up woodworking and making stained glass.

Kenneth was a dedicated Christian and was devoted to his church. His faith was a guiding force in his life and his love for the Lord Jesus Christ shined brightly in his life.

He died on Feb. 25, 2024. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Gwen; one son; one daughter-in-law; three grandchildren; five siblings; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
