Larry Cullen Landrum passed away on February 11, 2024.

A visitation was held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Somerville.

The funeral service followed at 11 a.m. with brother Corby Brizendine officiating. Honors were provided by the VFW Post# 4458.

Larry was born on October 26, 1941, to John and Hazel Landrum in Houston, Texas.

He was very proud and patriotic about serving his country. He rose very quickly to Petty Officer 1st Class. He served in the Navy for 22 years, 3 months, and 29 days.

He then was ordained a Deacon at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Houston. He also was a dedicated Deacon at First Baptist Church Somerville until his passing.

He loved sports especially the Astros and Kansas City Chiefs.

He also enjoyed watching the Price is Right and Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives, and he was a member of the Saltgrass Trail Ride.

He loved visiting with his friends at Neinast Restaurant in Lyons, but most of all, he cherished spending time with his family and raising his grandchildren, Kourtney and Kody.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Dana R. Landrum- Peterman; a brother, Terry Landrum and sister-in-law, Margie Landrum; another brother, Michael Landrum; his sister, Linda Sullivan; a friend and brothers-inlaw, Jim Davenport and Clem (Bubba) Lednicky Jr.; his mother-in-law, Mary Kretzer; and fatherin- law, Clem Lednicky, Sr.; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years Sandra Landrum; his granddaughter, Kourtney Renee Buck; his grandson, Kody Brian Fisher; his great-granddaughters, Hayleigh Buck, Briana Buck, and Kopelyn Fisher; his sisters-in-law, Joan Davenport, Julia Hruska, Sheryl Lednicky and Camilla Landrum; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A special thank you to Ronnie and Mary Haynes for the support and care to Larry during his last days.
