A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Marie Valerian Muzny of Caldwell, Texas, was held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

She was born on April 24, 1936, in Deanville, Texas, and passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan, Texas.

Dorothy graduated from Caldwell High School in 1954 and received nursing degree from John’s Hospital in Taylor, Texas.

She worked as a nurse at the original St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan and in Caldwell with Dr. Joe Smith before becoming a full-time mom and homemaker.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Caldwell, the KJZT and the Altar Society.

Dorothy loved comedy shows, classic country and western music, classic rock and roll, Czech and polka music.

She also loved to garden, sew and read.

Dorothy had four children, three grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
