A Memorial Service for Sidney Joel Smith, 85, of Caldwell, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023, in the chapel at Macedonia-Hix Baptist Church.
Sidney lived a simple life as a farmer and loved helicopters but more than anything, he loved his family.
He proudly served our country in the United States Navy where he was honorably discharged in 1959. His love and friendship will be forever cherished.
He died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Darlene Smith; three children; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
