Snook falls to Franklin JV 34, concludes season

The Snook Bluejays finished their season last Thursday with a 34-0 home loss to Franklin JV, concluding their season after transitioning to JV play midway through the schedule.Snook dropped down to the JV level due to manpower shortage and expects to return to varsity play next year.

Hornets fall 63-14 to Bellville in finale

The Caldwell Hornets concluded their season last Friday in a 63-14 road loss to district champion Bellville.Caldwell finished the year 3-6-1 overall and 1-4 in district play, earning their first district win in six years.Bellville finished 8-2 overall and 5-0 in district play.

Lady Yeguas open season with big win over Waelder

The Lady Yeguas’ season opener against Waelder left the Lady Wildcats feeling more like little kittens as Somerville routed Waelder on the road 41-7.Somerville’s defense held Waelder scoreless in the first quarter, outscoring the Lady Wildcats 15-0.

Three Caldwell residents and their equine partners brought home top honors from the Texas Ranch Horse Championship Show held in Buffalo from Nov. 7-9.

Hornets fall 72-12 against tough Sealy

It was a long night for the Caldwell Hornets, facing an outstanding Sealy team with multiple offensive weapons and no answers on how to stop them.Sealy rolled 72-12 last Friday in Caldwell in one of the Hornets’ worst ever losses as the Tigers improved to 8-1 overall and 3-1 in district play.
