Lady Yeguas finish third in home tournament

The Lady Yeguas hosted the Somerville Volleyball Tournament last Thursday and Saturday and placed third in their own tourney.In the first tournament match for Somerville in Pool A on Thursday, Somerville fell to Hempstead 2516, 23-25, 11-15.

Hornets prepare for opener against Crockett

The Caldwell Hornets open their season this Friday at home against Crockett, hoping to start the year 1-0.Caldwell Head Coach Sean Witherwax said Crockett has a lot of athletes and can break a play or long run at any time.“We have to stop them before they get started,” Witherwax said.

For one Lady Hornet, her senior season has just begun, but what a start!Last Tuesday, even though Caldwell lost to Franklin at home in five sets, the Lady Hornets had a reason to celebrate: libero Natalie Eastepp earned her 1,000th dig -- a major milestone in the life of a libero.

The Caldwell Hornets football team opens the 2025 football season this Friday with some experienced players and hope for improvement.Last year, the Hornets broke a long losing streak and registered two wins as the program trended upward.Now they want to keep building on that momentum.
During the Caldwell team tennis opening match this season against Bellville, White won his boys singles match 8-3 and his boys doubles match (with partner Billy Cochran) 8-6.
