Somerville ISD is continuing its focus on safety and security by the district adding six metal detectors.
The school board approved the purchase of six new portable metal walk-through detectors during its regular board meeting last Wednesday night.
The total cost will be $28,000 and will be purchased from Garrett of Garland. The cost includes delivery to the district.
