Novosad crowned 2024 Burleson County Fair Queen

A September rain storm could not damper the spirits of friends and family celebrating Hadleigh Novosad being crowned the 2024 Burleson County Fair Queen or Avery Grace Freeman being named the 2024 Burleson County Fair Association’s Little Miss.

County Fair sales over $2.3M

The 2024 Burleson County Fair was once again a success last week, breaking the $2 million mark for the fifth time with an estimated total sales of $2,312,271.20 -- the second highest total in fair history.The record was set last year was sales reaching $2,551,200.

Man charged in sex abuse of child warrant

A 48-year-old Bryan man was arrested on Friday, Sept. 20, on a first-degree felony charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 years old, in connection with a series of Burleson County incidents from 2007-2014.
