The Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District board was scheduled to meet on Tuesday, Aug. 13, in Milano to review survey results on four of their programs.An update by EPCOR was also planned on recent events and activities concerning the Vista Ridge pipeline and permits.

Snook will once again be the center of entertainment for the Brazos Valley in October.The Legendary Snook Rodeo and Starlight Ballroom will be the site for music and bull riding for the second “Live at the Station” on Oct. 12.

County approves proposed tax rate of 46 cents

Man arrested after high speed chase

A Giddings man who fled from Caldwell police on Thursday, Aug. 8, at John E. Hejl Park in an online solicitation of a minor case led area law officers on a highspeed chase to Giddings where he abandoned his truck and fled on foot before being arrested.
