County Fair baked foods sale earns over $40K

In 2022, the Burleson County Fair Association’s Baked Foods Auction sales total of $77,100 set a fair history record, and this year the sale had a strong showing with a total of $40,150 in sales.Last year, the auction brought in $52,250.

Snook ISD holds interviews for superintendent position

The Snook School Board is in the process of interviewing candidates for the district’s superintendent position.The position became vacant in June with Dr. Megan Pape’s announcement that she was leaving Snook ISD to accept the superintendent position at Royal ISD.

Last Saturday, the 2025 Burleson County Fair officially kicked off with the annual Burleson County Fair Parade.The event was held in downtown Caldwell showcasing this year’s fair theme: “Decades of Fun” -- sending parade attendees back to the 20s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.

Perfect weather made for a perfect evening as Kodi Hitchcock was crowned the 2025 Burleson County Fair Queen and Taytum Hohlt was named the 2025 Burleson County Fair Association’s Little Miss.The Queen’s and Little Miss contests were held Sunday, Sept. 21, at the fairgrounds.
