Funeral services for Annie Beasley, 46, of Giddings, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Texas, with Rev. Dale Bohm officiating. The service will be live streamed on the church’s Facebook page.
Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation was to be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The family will be present for visitation Wednes- day evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Briana “Annie” Dawn (Schimank) Beasley was born on September 17, 1975, in Giddings, Texas, the daughter of James and Judy (Morris) Schimank.
She was baptized on October 5, 1975, and confirmed on April 8, 1990, at St. John Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Her confirmation verse is Matthew 6:33, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
She attended Blinn Junior College and received her associates degree in business science.
Annie married Tim Beasley on April 26, 2003, also at St. John. They were blessed with two children, Sierra and Ayden.
For over 28 years, Annie worked for Bluebonnet Electric Co-op in Giddings where she worked as an IT Application Analyst.
Family always came first and her favorite job was being a mom.
Annie loved to travel to watch Sierra play club volleyball and Ayden to play football and basketball.
She looked forward to Family Fun Night Fridays to eat together, play games, or watch a movie.
Annie was a great cook and made sure her family was well fed with chicken spaghetti, broccoli rice, dumplings, squash pie, or her homemade pickles.
She served as the family coordinator and made sure calendars were followed and that everyone had fun at the vacations to the beach.
Annie also loved her community and served on the Relay for Life team, was president for the Martin Luther Day School, and looked forward to the weekly woman’s Bible study.
She will be remembered for being a good listener, her contagious smile, and living life to the fullest.
Annie passed away the morning of Saturday, August 13, 2022, at St. David’s Medical Center South after a tough fought battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Schimank; grandparents, Victor and Mary Schimank and Pete and Faye Morris; and her God daughter, Chelsey Schimank.
Annie is survived by her husband, Tim Beasley of Giddings; two children, Sierra and Ayden Beasley of Giddings; father, James and Susan Schimank of Lincoln; two siblings, Paula Schimank of Giddings and John and Emily Schimank of Giddings; special sister, Chandra Williams of Giddings; parents-in-law, Jerry and Lillian Beasley of Caldwell; brother-inlaw and sister-in-law, Lindy and Chris Beasley of Caldwell and John and Jenny Beasley of San Antonio; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, and her Bluebonnet family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Trent Williams, Trevor Williams, Logan Schimank, Steven Rasez, Randy Schnell, Garrett Schimank, and Tyler Medack. Honorary bearers will be Chase Stewart and Ben Schimank.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Annie Beasley Memorial Fund at Round Top State Bank which will be used for the future expenses of Annie’s children, Relay for Life, St. John Lutheran Church in Lincoln, or to the charity of one’s choice.
