The Lady Hornets had a tough time at home against Class 6A Temple before traveling to Franklin to play in a tournament.Last Tuesday, Caldwell fell to the Tem-Cats 14-1.Molly Meadows was 1-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs.

CHS girls, boys shoot strong rounds at Brenham

The Caldwell Lady Hornets golf team had their best round of the year on Monday, Feb. 26, at the Brenham Tournament with a team score of 385.That was 17 strokes better than their previous best this year.The Lady Hornets competed against multiple 5A and 6A schools at the tournament.

Snook goes 1-3 at Groveton Tournament

TheSnookBluejayswent 1-3 last weekend at the Groveton Tournament.Snook fell to Groveton 6-1 in game 1 on Thursday, Feb. 29, and to Deweyville 11-1 on Friday, March 1, before defeating Zavalla 4-3 on Friday and then falling to Normangee 11-1 on Saturday, March 2.

Caldwell HS track opens season at Rockdale Meet

The Caldwell High School track team began their 2024 season at the Rockdale Relays last Friday. Varsity GirlsThe varsity girls finished seventh in the team standings with a score of 22 points.East View won the team title with 202.5 points. Salado was second with 131.

The Caldwell duo of Dylan Chapman and Cayden Zboril placed second in boys doubles at last week’s Madisonville Varsity Tennis Tournament #2.They fell in the championship match to Steven Payan and Leonel Zavala 2-8.

Hornets fall to Wheatley 96-67 in bi-district game

The Caldwell Hornets ended their season with a 96-67 bi-district loss to Wheatley on Tuesday, Feb. 20, in Bryan, ending a memorable run for a winning season and a second-place tie in district play.
