The Snook Bluejays fell behind early against Valley Mills before rallying in a close 54-51 loss last Tuesday, Jan. 3, in Snook. The Bluejays also fell to Groveton 5442 in the Friday, Jan.

In a show of offensive dominance at home, the Lady Hornets manhandled district foe Manor New Tech 51-11. Caldwell senior Jae Mathis alone scored more points in the game than the entire New Tech team with her 25 points. Ashlyn Kellum tied the New Tech score with 11 points.

Caldwell falls to La Grange, Manor NT

Caldwell’s varsity boys opened district play last week with two close road losses to La Grange and Manor New Tech. Caldwell fell to La Grange 30-25 on Tuesday, Jan. 2, and to Manor New Tech 45-41 on Friday, Jan. 6.

Somerville loses last 2 games in non-district play

The Somerville Yeguas lost to Aggieland Home School and Bellville last week in their final two non-district games of the season. The Yeguas lost to Aggieland Home School 59-30 on Tuesday, Jan. 3, in Somerville and to Bellville 59-47 on Friday, Jan. 6, in Bellville.

Lady Hornet JV falls to La Grange 32-26

The Lady Hornet JV basketball team lost a hard fought battle to La Grange last Tuesday 32-26. The Lady Hornets had a very slow start in the first half of this game, finding themselves down by a score of 21-10 going into halftime.

Hornets win final 3 at Franklin Tournament
