Snook beats Bremond, falls to Aggieland HS

In a pair of home games, the Snook Bluejays defeated Bremond 40-28 on Tuesday, Jan. 4, before falling on Friday, Jan. 7, to Aggieland Home School 45-33. Against Bremond, Snook led 26-19 at halftime and 34-21 after three quarters.

#25 Lady Yeguas go 3-2 at Aggieland Invitational

The Texas Girls Coaches Associations (TGCA) Class 2A Number 25 Lady Yeguas went 3-2 last week at the Aggieland Invitational, finishing sixth in a tournament field of 23 teams.

Caldwell goes 2-2 at Rosebud-Lott Tourney

The Caldwell Hornets defeated Iola and Granger in the first two games of the Rosebud-Lott Tournament last week before falling to Rosebud-Lott and Whitney to finish fourth. Caldwell defeated Iola 43-38 and Granger 67- 38 and lost to Rosebud-Lott 64-30 and to Whitney 74-53.

Hornet soccer kicks off this week

The latest installment of the Caldwell Hornet soccer team will look similar to teams of the past -- with Burt Yates on the sideline, but this time as an assistant coach.

Snook loses two games at Schulenburg Tournament

The Snook Bluejays fell to Gonzales 61-38 and to Schulenberg 54-45 last week at the Schulenburg Tournament. The tournament was held from Monday, Dec. 27, through Wednesday, Dec. 29.

Yeguas battle hard, fall to Calvert 64-51

The Somerville Yeguas battled Calvert close through three quarter before falling 64-51 on Wednesday, Dec. 29, in Calvert. Somerville had led 17- 12 in the first quarter, but Calvert rallied for a 32-28 lead at halftime.

Snook keeps it close, falls 59-54

The Snook Bluejays fell to Fayetteville 59-54 last Tuesday, Dec. 21, in Snook. The Bluejays started strong with leads of 11-10 in the first quarter and 25-23 at halftime, but Fayetteville took control with a 22-18 run in the third for a 45-43 lead.
