Lady Jays win 2 district games

The Lady Jays are currently sitting at 3-1 in District 26-2A after two district wins last week.Last Tuesday, Snook hosted Hearne, defeating the Lady Eagles 58-44.Hearne took an early 6-0 lead, thanks to two three-pointers by Kately Martinez and Amoria Jones.

Lady Hornets fall to Brahmanettes 42-37

The Lady Hornets hosted Bellville their district opener on Friday afternoon, falling to the Brahmanettes 42-37.Caldwell was led in scoring by senior Riley Broaddus with 11 points. Senior Ava Jones had 10 points in the loss.

Caldwell starts slow, falls to Troy 61-42 at home

The Caldwell Hornets got off to a slow start and were unable to catch up in a 61-42 loss to Troy last Friday at home.The Trojans went in a 22-9 run in the first quarter and controlled the game thereafter.Caldwell fell to 10-11 for the year.

Hornet soccer ties Hallettsville

The Hornet soccer team traveled to Hallettsville last Friday, tying the Brahmas 2-2.Caldwell’s Ben Jaimes scored the first goal of the game in the 16th minute, with an assist from Mark Lasuer.
