Snook’s Ethan Janac finished 42nd out of 148 runners in the Class 2A boys race at the UIL State Cross Country Meet last weekend at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock.Though his time of 17:49.50 was about two seconds slower than the 17:47.

Snook falls to Granger 35-8 in season finale at home

The Snook Bluejays lost their finale last Friday at home to Granger 35-8.The Bluejays, 0-9 after the loss, will get a forfeit win over McDade for next Friday to conclude their season at 1-9.

Karson Lazo of Caldwell ranked third overall in the Texas Motocross Alliance (TMA) beginner class in District 20 and qualified for the state championship, where he placed seventh in his division.This achievement follows a successful motocross season for Lazo.

In their final district match, the Lady Yeguas fell to Mumford 13-25, 22-25, 20-25.Somerville was led by Anette Reyna with five kills and Vivianna Munoz with four aces 15 assists.Somerville was scheduled to play Holland in Cameron on Tuesday, Nov. 5, in Division I in bi-district play.
