Lady Hornets outscore last week’s opponents 31-2

The Lady Hornet bats remain on fire, outscoring Taylor and Giddings last week 31-2 to remain undefeated in District 22-4A with only three games remaining on the district schedule as of press time.

Lady Hornets place third at District 22-4A track meet

The Lady Hornets finished third in the team standings at last week’s District 22-4A Track & Field Meet in Giddings.Caldwell had a total score of 98 to bring home the bronze.Giddings won the team title with a total score of 191 points, and La Grange was second with 114 points.

Snook, Somerville each win 1 in 2-game series

Snook and Somerville split their games in a district double header last week in Snook, with Snook taking game one 15-5 and Somerville winning 17-7 in the second game.

DISTRICT CHAMPS!

The Caldwell boys and girls golf teams won the District 22-4A championships last week, winning both tournaments by wide margins.It marked the first time in modern history that both teams won the district title in the same year.

Caldwell Hornets 4-0 with Taylor, Manor New Tech wins

The Caldwell Hornets defeated Taylor 4-3 last Thursday in 10 innings and Manor New Tech 11-1 on Monday in home games to remain unbeaten in district play.Caldwell, 11-7-1 overall and now 4-0 in district play, again won with strong pitching and defense.

Lady Hornets finish district Round 1 undefeated

The Lady Hornets came away with two wins last week to end the first round of district with a record of 5-0.On Monday, the ladies traveled to La Grange, and after seven innings of nail-biting softball the score was still tied at 0-0.

Snook’s Macik wins gold at Lexington Eagles Meet

Snook’s Alexis Macik won gold in the girls shot put at last week’s Lexington Eagles High School Track Meet.All three area schools participated in the Lexington Meet.Macik’s winning shot put toss was 36 feet 1 inch.She also placed third in the girls discus with a throw of 95 feet 8 inches.

Lady Jays blank Normangee 15-0

Lead by an Aubrey Becker no-hitter and a Marissa Batiste perfect 3-for-3, including a double with four runs scored, the Lady Jays easily soared past Normangee at home last Thursday 15-0 in four innings.
