A fire burned about 7.5 acres of pasture land and some wooded acreage and about 100 hay bales on Tuesday, Aug. 25, on Private Road 2011 off County Road 333, but firefighters were grateful to contain it before it got worse.
Caldwell and Cooks Point firefighters say the blaze was mostly contained to the pasture and would have been troublesome if more had gotten into some nearby wooded acreage.
