Project SNIP of Burleson County hosted its first feral cat spay/ neuter clinic of the year on Monday, April 6, at the Deanville Volunteer Fire Department.

Lee Scott’s Stated meeting March 2026 turned into a special night for Bob Ware.After a dinner and regular business of the lodge completed, the Worshipful Master Rick Conner began a review of Brother Ware’s contributions to Masonry and to Lee Scott Lodge.

The Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) issued no new oil well drilling permits in Burleson County in January.The RRC report is for newly approved permits in the county, not for drill sites which were previously permitted.

Snook VFD puts out grass fire off F.M. 3058

Snook firefighters extinguished a Sunday afternoon, March 29, grass fire off F.M. 3058 consuming about 1 1/2 acres, and the cause of the blaze remains unknown.Beth Collins of Snook Volunteer Fire Department said no burning was occurring on the property, located at 11358 F.M. 3058 near F.M.

Man charged in ag assault case

A 44-year-old Caldwell man was arrested on Thursday, March 26, on a first degree felony charge of aggravated assault in connection with an attack on a man that night in the 500 block of North Hall Street.

Man charged in continuous violence case

A Dime Box man was arrested on Sunday, March 29, by Burleson County sheriff ’s deputies on a warrant for continuous violence against a woman going back to September of last year and January of this year.

Water well tank theft investigated

Burleson County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a stolen water well tank in the 400 block of Ridgewood in Beaver Creek.The owner reported the theft on Wednesday afternoon, March 25, saying the culprit had also cut the pump line to the well tank, said Burleson County Sheriff Bill Rios.
