Snook to seek POSGCD grant for waterline work

The Snook City Council has approved seeking $300,000 in grant funding from Post Oak Savannah Groundwatter Conservation District for replace about 8,200 linear feet of aging waterline along F.M. 2155.The council made that decision at its Monday, Feb.

A Burleson County man has been arrested on a felony livestock theft charge in Brazos County.Kaleb Roberson, 25, was charged with theft of livestock, less than $150,000, according to the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office.

Caldwell and Cooks Point volunteer firefighters responded on Friday morning, Feb. 20, to a brush pile fire in the 8000 block of Highland Ranch Road and quickly contained it.
