MARY BLAHA

Funeral services for Mary Bethel Blaha, 94, of Dime Box, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Dime Box Brethren Church.

Mary Bethel Qualls was born on Nov. 18, 1928, in Holland, Texas, to James Lee Qualls and Berta C. Brown Qualls.

She was one of six siblings, and graduated from Lexington High School in 1946.

She married the love of her life, Daniel W. Blaha, on Dec. 17, 1947, at the Lexington Baptist Church.

They spent 50 years together traveling New Mexico and Colorado, and running Blaha’s RV Park in Lexington.

She also worked at Brinkman Chevrolet. Her passions included painting and sewing. Bethel was known as a seamstress.

She loved listening to big band music, polka, and waltzes.

She attended church every Sunday at the Brethren Church down the street from her.

She died on Sunday, March 26, 2023, surrounded by family.

She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends; one sister-in-law; one brotherin- law.
