William Earl Blowey Sr. (“Bill” aka “Popeye”) passed away on June 18, 2022, at the Hudson Creek Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Bryan, Texas, at the age of 81. Bill was born on October 5, 1940, in Raymondville, Texas.

A funeral service for Patty Jane Taylor, 94, of Caldwell, was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022, at First Assembly of God in Caldwell. She was born on March 2, 1928, in Cogar, Okla., to Claude and Agnes Burchfield. Patty married the love of her life, Billy Joe Taylor, on Oct. 11, 1947.

Johnnie Ruth (Brymer) Trnka, 89, of Caldwell went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from complications of a stroke she suffered in March 2022. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.

LAVERNE CHOLLETT

LaVerne (Hein) Chollett, 87, passed away on June 11, 2022, after battling health complications. Visitation with the family was held 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022.

Elizabeth Hundl Milsaps passed to her eternal home on June 7, 2022, at the age of 95. She was born in Buckholts, Texas, on July 2, 1926, to Frank and Annie Marek Hundl. Visitation for Elizabeth was held on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. Holy Rosary began at 5:30 p.m.

Funeral services for Ernest Martin, 92, of Caldwell, were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. Ernest was born on Jan. 3, 1930, to Thomas Roosevelt Martin and Sarah Jane Davis Martin.

Funeral services for Tony Absnaider, 70, of Giddings, Texas, are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. John Waak and Ryan Grube officiating. Burial will follow in the Ledbetter Cemetery in Ledbetter, Texas.

Guadalupe C. Gutierrez, 80, of Caldwell, Texas, passed away on Friday June 10, 2022. A public visitation was held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, in the chapel at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.

TERRY DOWLING

A graveside service for Terry Ross Dowling, 67, of Caldwell, was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Wellborn Cemetery. Terry was born on Nov. 4, 1954, in Bryan, Texas, to Warren Ross Dowling and Geraldine (Cunningham) Downing. Terry was always up for an adventure.

Funeral service for Retired SFC Milton R. Carroll, 91, of Caldwell, were held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, 12:00 p.m. at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Killeen, Texas. Burial with full military honors followed the service at the Killeen Memorial Park Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
