Betty Clark Doughtie, 90, was born June 21, 1931, to Willam and Lyra Clark of Dallas, Texas, and passed December 20, 2021. Betty was raised at Buckner Baptist children’s home along with her three siblings due to the tragic loss of both parents while she was still an infant.

Funeral services for Hays Perry, 90, of Giddings, Texas, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings, Texas, with Rev. Robert Tiner and Vicar Josh Hahn officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery.

Gladys Watson Akers went to be with her Lord and Savior February 12, 2022. Gladys was born June 23, 1932, near Caldwell, Texas, to Tola Watson and Virlena (Clepper) Watson. She was married to Grady Akers, of Tomball, for 54 years.

William Edward Sowders Sr. passed away peacefully, at home with family on February 9, 2022, at the age of 66. He was born on September 21, 1955, to Clyde James Sowders and Gladys Littlefield in Waco, Texas.

Gladys Ruth Masar (Trcalek) Hejl, 88, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Burleson St. Joseph Hospital. Gladys was born May 6, 1933, in New Tabor, the daughter of John and Annie (Mrnustik) Masar. A public visitation was held from 5-7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Paula Sanchez Abdallh, 61, of Caldwell, was held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Caldwell. Paula Sanchez Abdallh was born on Aug. 31, 1960, to Joe and Agripina Sanchez in Karnes City, Texas. She was one of seven siblings.

Weldon “Don” Ginzel, 83, went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2022, in Cypress, Texas. Don was born on June 6, 1938, in Caldwell, Texas. Visitation for Weldon Ginzel will be Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, Texas, from 9 a.m.

MICHAELENE WAGUESPACK

Michaelene Waguespack, 67, of Caldwell, Texas, passed peacefully in her home on Saturday, February 12, 2022. She was surrounded by her family as she heard the crowd go wild. Michaelene’s family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later time.
