Boil water notice for Cade Lakes announced beginning March 16

Due to a main line break on F.M. 908, which likely resulted in system pressures falling below 20 psi in the area, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the Cade Lakes Water Supply Corporation public water system to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption.

4H20 applications open until April 15

The Texas 4-H Water Ambassadors Program (4H20) is accepting online applications for its 10th cohort through April 15.The program is open to students currently in eighth through 11th-grade for the 2026-2027 academic year.

4H20 scholarships, sponsorships available

Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) is offering a 4H20 Scholarship and Sponsorship Program for area 4H20 students. This covers all participation costs and provides a $1,250 scholarship for each year a student remains in the program, up to $5,000 over four years.

Texas sheep and goat producers are seeing strong prices this spring as seasonal supply patterns tighten markets while demand remains steady, said a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service expert.
