Albert Schultz Jr.

Albert Schultz Jr., a loving, dedicated, and hardworking soul, passed away on May 21, 2026, in Bryan. 

Albert was born on February 23, 1943, at home in Lee County, to Albert Willie Schultz and Hermina (Poehl) Schultz.

Albert graduated from Somerville High School in 1961 and enlisted in the Army.

Upon returning, he married the love of his life Joann Canatella on May 2, 1964, in Cameron.

He was a dedicated employee working at Alenco in Bryan for 52 years, retiring in 2015.

Albert enjoyed watching baseball and football, playing pool, hunting and fishing, raising cattle and his weekly games of cards and dominoes, considering himself the “gatekeeper.”

Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joann Schultz; son, Mikel Schultz; grandson, Christopher Schultz; sister and brother-in-law, Alberta (Schultz) Webber and Johnny Webber; brotherin- law, Johnny Vykukal; and brother-in-law, Bennie Macik.

A visitation to honor Albert’s memory will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home at 530 Hwy. 36 South in Caldwell.

The funeral will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Lyons Evangelical Church at 320 Silver Maple Drive in Lyons.

Following the service, the interment will occur at the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery in Caldwell.

Albert is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Atom Schultz of Caldwell, Joe and Ginger Schultz of Brenham, Randolph and Tricia Schultz of Snook, Steven and Sandra Schultz of Caldwell; sisters, Leatrice Macik and Shirley Vykukal; brother and sister-in-law, Earnest and Judy Schultz; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Kenneth Canatella of Caldwell; grandchildren, Wayne and Amber Campise, Nathan and Erin Schultz, Sadie Schultz, Shannon and Paul Howard, Ginger Randermann, Mason Schultz, Brandon Schultz, Shannon Schultz, Cameron Schultz, Carson Schultz, John and Kristi Wheeler, Kimberly and Clay Pike and Christopher and Candace Wheeler; greatgrandchildren, Connor Schultz, Parker Schultz, Easton Schultz, Kelci Campise, Cohen Campise, Ivy Elliott, Noah Proctor, Emily Howard, Silas Brightwell, River Wheeler, Beckett Wheeler, Molly Pike and Damon Pike.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Campise, Nathan Schultz, Cameron Schultz, Carson Schultz, Brandon Schultz and John Wheeler.
