Lady Jay bball beats Hearne, falls to Iola

Last Tuesday, the Lady Jays traveled to Hearne, dominating the Lady Eagles at both ends of the court, to win the game 59-40.Snook outs cored Hearne in the first half 35-16. However, the game was much more even in the second half, with each team scoring 24 points.

Snook seeking new athletic director

Snook ISD Athletic Director Nolan Lanham has taken over as elementary school assistant principal for the remainder of his contract through the spring of 2027.

Lady Yegua basketball falls to Bremond, Mumford

The Lady Yeguas had a rough week last week, losing two district games.Last Tuesday, Jan. 6, Somerville was in Bremond, losing 40-11.The Lady Tigers had an early 18-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back.

Snook defense strong in 46-40 win over Iola

The Snook Bluejays rallied from an early deficit and had a strong defensive effort in a 46-40 home win last Friday, Jan. 9, over Iola.Snook, who lost 74-51 at Hearne on Jan. 6, improved to 15-7 overall and 1-1 in district play.

The Somervi l l e Yeguas lost to Mumford 62-43 last Friday at home, falling to 0-3 in district play.The loss followed a 61-30 road loss to Bremond o n Tuesday, Jan. 6, and a 5953 overtime loss to Iola on Friday, Jan. 2, at home.
