Caldwell High School is hosting “Hornet Hire” on May 8 at 9 a.m. -- designed to bring local businesses in need of employees to the high school to conduct interviews with students desiring a job.

Sheriff’s results pending in human remains discovery

The human remains found by the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office on April 23 at Cake Lakes Subdivision have been sent to a DPS crime laboratory in Austin for DNA testing and identification.As of Tuesday, May 5, the results were still pending, according to a prepared statement by the sheriff’s office.

6th annual Margarita Fest a sub-lime success

The Burleson County Chamber of Commerce hosted its sixth annual Margarita Fest on Saturday, May 2, in downtown Caldwell.Chamber director Susan Mott said the event was “wonderful”, with an estimated turnout of about 750 people.
