Caldwell Fire Department celebrates 140 years

The Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department has done its duty for 140 years, and they got a chance to celebrate that milestone last week with an appreciative community.A reception was held on Wednesday, July 22, to celebrate the department’s 140th anniversary.

County reviews 2026 property valuations

Burleson County Judge Keith Schroeder told the county commissioners on Monday, July 27, that decreased property values, largely driven by lower mineral values, could lead to a tax rate increase.

Caldwell names finalist for city admin position

The Caldwell City Council has named a lone finalist for the city administrator position and authorized Mayor John Rychlik and the city’s HR department to proceed with negotiations.A final announcement of the candidate will be released once the official contract is signed.
