OTTO FRITZ

Otto and Melanie Fritz approached the end hand-in-hand, both battling Parkinson’s Disease. Otto passed away on August 19, 2022. Melanie passed on August 26, 2022. They met at a dance at St. Mary’s Catholic Student Center while she was in high school, and he was attending Texas A&M.

Celebration of Life for Sharon Putz, 81, will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at North Shore Baptist Church, located at 12265 Park Road 4, Somerville. Sharon was born on Oct. 27, 1940, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She died on Thursday Aug. 25, 2022, in College Station, Texas.

LINDA COLVIN

A memorial service for Linda Lanell Colvin, 67, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in Caldwell. Linda was born on Nov. 28, 1954. She married Gary Wayne McDonald on Dec. 11, 1974, in Vernon, Texas. They raised four sons and one daughter.

Gloria Mae Rao, 86, of Snook, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the Snook Cemetery Pavilion. Hospice Brazos Valley Chaplin Doug Tromblee will preside over services.

A funeral service for James Edge, 85, was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. James was born on Sept. 24, 1936, in Grapeland, Texas, to Charles Floyd Edge and Leatha Parker. He married Bobbie Finley on Sept. 6, 1956.

Mrs. Eddie Mae Lawson

Mrs. Eddie Mae Lawson Watters was born Jan. 24, 1933, to Rev. Edd and Hattie L. Lawson in Gause, Texas. She was married to Rev. Rufus O. Watters Sr. on Jan. 24, 1953, and to this union four children were born: Edward Lawson, Rufus O. Watters Jr., Sherrel Anita Watters and Hattie Lois Watters.
