Faydelle Hutchings Bailey, 94, of Caldwell, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2022, in Bryan, Texas. Fay was born on January 4, 1928, in Olney, Texas, to Lawrence and Lillian Hutchings.

Albina Mary Ratjen Frieda, 97, of Caldwell, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, in Bryan, Texas. A public visitation was held in her honor on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.

JUNE VANN-HEATH

June M. Vann-Heath, 86, of Caldwell passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at her home in Caldwell. A Celebration of Life was held, Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church Caldwell with Rev. Shane Dismuke officiating. Interment followed in the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery.

Matilda Julia Kocurek was born September 13, 1926, in Frenstat, Texas, to Richard Gaas and Mary Marshalik Gaas. She flew into the loving care of Jesus on July 2, 2022, having attained the age of 95 years. Visitation is Wednesday, July 7, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Betty Jo “Peewee” (Horcica) Hruska, 70, of Harlingen, Texas, formerly of Caldwell, Texas, was born to Joe Horcica and Dorothy (Engleman) Horcica on Dec. 6, 1951, in Caldwell, Texas. She was married to Billy Joe Hruska for many years, and later divorced.

James R. “Jimmy” Nix was born on May 22, 1939, in Temple, Texas, as the only child of Willie Norville Nix and John Robert Nix. The viewing for James was scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Strickland Funeral Home. Graveside Service was scheduled for 10 a.m.

Duane “Smitter” Loehr, 67, of Cooks Point, passed away on June 25, 2022. Smitter was born on Dec. 2, 1954, to Louis and Corky Loehr in Marlin, Texas. Visitation for Duane was scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell.

William Earl Blowey Sr. (“Bill” aka “Popeye”) passed away on June 18, 2022, at the Hudson Creek Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Bryan, Texas, at the age of 81. Bill was born on October 5, 1940, in Raymondville, Texas.

A funeral service for Patty Jane Taylor, 94, of Caldwell, was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022, at First Assembly of God in Caldwell. She was born on March 2, 1928, in Cogar, Okla., to Claude and Agnes Burchfield. Patty married the love of her life, Billy Joe Taylor, on Oct. 11, 1947.
