Somerville Family Clinic steadily seeing patients

In the first month of operation for the Somerville Family Practice Clinic, the staff is seeing about 25 patients a week, with three to five of those being walk-ins.It’s a start, and clinic officials want those numbers to grow -- ensuring that the clinic succeeds for the long term.

A Caldwell woman was transported to a Bryan hospital on Friday, April 17, after an SUV rollover accident on F.M. 908.The accident occurred at 5:30 p.m. when Catherine Bruce Johnson, 57, was traveling southeast on F.M. 908 in a gray,2016 Nissan Rogue SUV at 5:30 p.m.

Man charged in damage to fence, gate

A 57-year-old Caldwell man was charged with felony criminal mischief on Monday, April 13, in connection with a truck driven through a fence and gate in the 1600 block of Beaver Creek Drive.

Man scammed in dog purchase

A man living on Pin Oak Lane in Beaver Creek Subdivision recently tried to buy a Great Dane dog online but was scammed out of $250.Burleson County Sheriff Bill Rios said the purchase appeared legitimate, although one name provided was misspelled.

Water bong stolen in home burglary

Someone burglarized a home on Friday,April 17, on Aspen Drive at Cade Lake and stole a water bong.A neighbor said she saw two girls go into the house that afternoon when the door was left open and then left, said Burleson County Sheriff Bill Rios.

Check forgery case investigated

Someone intercepted two checks written by a Burleson County cattle company to two area livestock commissions and tried unsuccessfully to steal $5,966.
